When we were there we viewed the Alamo and another mission, which is still being lived in. We also took a trip to the River Walk, which is a famous attraction in San Antonio. It was nice there in January, but Kristie and Donald say that it is awful hot in the summer. Their dog would whine at the door and want to go out. But when they let him out, as soon as his nose hit the hot air, he stopped and backed up and would not go out. Let’s face it, Texas air is not like Alberta air. There is a difference of about 40 degrees in the summer time. More than that in the winter. Up to 140 degrees difference. .
While we were there, we saw the 474 piggyback the space shuttle back to Florida from the West. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my camera with me at the time. It would have been one for the photo album. This was a once in a lifetime occasion. How often are you in the right place at the right time?
